The LinkedIn prospecting profile: the body
The body of your profile encompasses all your past experiences, training, certifications, and more. In the context of prospecting, do not simply list your skills and experience as you would in a traditional CV. Write them in a way that highlights what has shaped you throughout your career and what legitimises your expertise in your field.

1 — Experience:
The first section covers your experience. This is essentially the backbone of your network. Tag the companies you have worked for correctly, so you can find connections you already know on LinkedIn. It is also a great way to obtain recommendations from people with whom you have maintained good relationships.
Similarly, use keywords to highlight the key skills you have developed, and think about adding visuals to support and legitimise the services you offer.
To fill this section as professionally as possible, start by describing your professional background: your current role and your previous positions.
Then detail your experience using keywords. Visitors will not take the time to read long sentences. Drop the descriptive approach and focus on what matters. Use keywords to get to the point, highlighting the assignments that seem most relevant to you.
Finally, illustrate your experience with achievements or external links. This helps to legitimise what you have stated above.
2 — Education
Your educational background is also genuinely valuable for your network, as it will help you build your first level of connections.
By tagging your schools, you will receive suggested profiles of people who attended the same institution.

3 — Skills
LinkedIn allows you to showcase your skills through the use of keywords. Once you have entered these, they will be organised into three main categories:
- industry knowledge
- interpersonal skills
- other skills
Select your skills based on the services you offer and what you want to highlight. This makes it easier for your visitors to endorse you.
4 — Achievements
This section focuses on the various certifications you may have obtained and the languages you speak. To showcase your certifications, MOOCs provide a link that redirects the visitor to your obtained qualification.
Congratulations — your prospecting profile is really taking shape. Next, we will look at LinkedIn recommendations together. See you shortly.

In summary:
- Do not simply describe your experience and skills — focus on keywords that match your prospect's needs.
- Visuals are also important for reinforcing your expertise and reassuring the prospect.
