1. Polysemy : Noun, feminine. The quality of having multiple meanings, for a word. For example, the word "theatre" refers at once to the art form, the venue, and the literary genre.

2. Reminiscence : Noun, feminine. A vague, hazy memory.

3. Sublimation : Noun, feminine. In psychology, the process of redirecting a sexual or aggressive drive into the creation of a work of art.

4. Gallinaceous : Adjective/Noun, masculine. An omnivorous bird belonging to the family of the cockerel; a member of the order Galliformes.

5. Reversal : Noun, masculine. A sudden change in a situation.

6. Diptych : Noun, masculine. A work of painting or sculpture composed of two complementary panels.

7. Abstraction : Noun, feminine. An idea with no concrete grounding in reality.

8. To demerit : Verb. To act in such a way that one loses the trust or esteem of another person.

9. Interstice : Noun, masculine. A small space between the elements of a whole.

10. Antinomian : Adjective. Contradictory; opposed.
