As a reminder, The 10 words of the week aims to list, each week, 10 forgotten or rarely used words in everyday life.
The idea is to break out of your habits by managing to work these 10 words into your conversations each week.

1. Iconoclast : Adjective. Originally used to describe a person who destroyed sacred images. Nowadays, describes a person who is opposed to tradition.

2. Aporia : Noun, feminine. A paradox; an implausibility. A logical problem that cannot be resolved.

3. Roborant : Adjective. A literary term denoting a medicine supposed to restore one's strength; a tonic.

4. Prosaic : Adjective. Commonplace; ordinary.

5. Chronophagous : Adjective. Time-consuming; something that wastes time.

6. Ostentatious : Adjective. That which is displayed or shown off in an excessive manner.

7. To fetch (Quérir) : Verb. To seek out something or someone.

8. Rubescent : Adjective. Becoming red; reddening.

9. Skiff : Noun, masculine. A small boat; a makeshift vessel.

10. Lexicology : Noun, feminine. The study of words and their nature. Often incorrectly spelt "lexiology".
This one counts double for anyone who manages to use it.
